Overview
This is a genuinely different kind of Mardi Himal trip: a premium, weather-dependent option for trekkers who want the Base Camp experience without committing four or five days to it. Day 1 is a single hard push from Kande directly to High Camp, skipping the Classic route's gradual multi-stop acclimatisation entirely. Day 2 follows the same predawn climb to Base Camp as every other strategy in this document, but rather than descending on foot, a helicopter picks the group up near High Camp for the return to Pokhara — flying a scenic route over the Annapurna Base Camp trail corridor rather than retracing the walked approach. A built-in Day 3 buffer absorbs the genuine risk that mountain weather delays the helicopter by a day, which several operators explicitly flag as the main planning risk with this option. This is by a wide margin the most expensive itinerary in this document, and trades trail time and acclimatisation buffer for speed and a fundamentally different, aerial view of the region on the way out.
