Overview
This is the itinerary for trekkers who want the full, properly acclimatised Larkya La crossing Strategy 1 describes, but who don't have fifteen days to spend on it. One operator source in this document's own set documents exactly this trade-off directly: a private jeep, where the advancing road network allows it, covers the lower valley's own least dramatic early stretch — genuinely hot, humid, and, per more than one first-hand account, the least scenically rewarding part of the whole trek — in a fraction of the walking time, with the days saved simply removed from the schedule rather than redistributed into a faster ascent higher up. The entire itinerary from Namrung onward is identical to Strategy 1's own pacing, since every source in this document's set treats that stretch's acclimatisation schedule as genuinely non-negotiable. Twelve days total, the same complete circuit and the same Larkya La crossing every other strategy in this document reaches, and a genuinely reasonable way to shave real time off the total trip without touching the one part of the schedule where compression carries real risk.
Highlights
- The same complete Larkya La circuit as Strategy 1, in three fewer total days
- No compromise on the pass-crossing acclimatisation schedule — the time saved comes entirely from jeep transport on the lower trail and a faster return
- A genuine option for trekkers with a tighter overall Nepal schedule who still want the full standard circuit
- Real cost savings under the Restricted Area Permit's per-day pricing structure
